So, I posted less than 24 hours ago that I got a free Sega Genesis. I actually got a ton more than that, though, so check this out! Keep in mind, this was all for free:
1. Sega Genesis (I’m pretty sure it’s the oldest model), with no hookups but one controller, and all of the following NINETEEN games:
- Comix Zone (oh hell yes)
- Sonic The Hedgehog (2x hell yes)
- Sonic Spinball
- Sonic & Knuckles (that’s a 3x hell yes)
- Aaahh!!! Real Monsters
- World Series Baseball
- Mario Andretti Racing
- Tiny Toon Adventures: Acme All-Stars (this is a lot of sports games)
- NBA Jam (I believe that’s a 4x hell yes)
- Hook
- Frank Thomas Big Hurt Baseball (wow, Frank Thomas had a baseball game? lol!)
- Landstalker (5x hell yes!!)
- Sub-Terrania
- The Adventures of Mighty Max
- Cyberball
- Triple Play 96
- Aero The Acro-Bat
- World Heroes (lol SF2 ripoff lol)
- NHLPA Hockey 93
- Bio-Hazard Battle
2. Nintendo 64 with an AC Adapter and two controllers. I actually didn’t need an N64, but I did lose almost all of my games and I DID lose all of my controllers, so I was pretty stoked about this.
3. We found a bunch of my own NES games that somehow wound up in his closet for a few years (Note: There are too many instances of ‘hell yes’ in this list to mention them all):
- Wrecking Crew
- Lolo
- Donkey Kong Classics
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- Skate or Die
- Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt
- Gauntlet 2
- Metroid
- Megaman 2
- Megaman 4
- Karate Champ
- Wheel of Fortune Family Edition (waaay more fun than it sounds, trust)
- Bases Loaded
- Excitebike
- Friday The 13th
- Kung Fu
- Tecmo Bowl
4. A few random games:
- Batman Forever (SNES)
- Chrono Cross (PSX)
- Final Fantasy 7 (PSX), but no disc 3…
- Devil May Cry 3 (PS2)
- Unlimited SaGa (PS2); actually, this was mine, but also wound up at his house some time before we headed off to college. Yes, I like it better than most people on earth. No, I wouldn’t dare say it’s a good game by any stretch.
- Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 (GCN)
5. Other not-video game stuff:
- Starcraft and Brood War strategy guide, along with a poster that shows tech trees for buildings and units. …Okay, so this is related to video games, but it’s not a game or a piece of hardware!
- A CD with Invader Zim episodes on it
- A 4-disc set of Jazz music. It’s not bad, but almost half the tracks are Ellington, Armstrong, and Gillespie. And what’s up with not having a single piece by John Coltrane or Charles frickin’ Mingus on the Bebop disc?
- Just Do It, a book on a couple who put the fire back into their relationship by agreeing to have sex for 101 days in a row, regardless of any circumstances whatsoever. Sounds fun!
Man, oh man…What I wouldn’t do to be fourteen right now. I need a severe mitigation to all of my responsibilities, and quick!

Congrats on the NBA Jam! I also owned all of the “random games” at some point in my life, haha.
